Music careers
Olivia Newton-John recorded her first single, “Till You Say You’ll Be Mine” in 1968 — she was 18. She released her album two years later in 1971. Julianne’s first single, “Will You Dance With Me,” came out in 2007 — she was 19. Her album dropped in 2008.
Early years
When it came to dancing, Julianne Hough started at a very young age — she started competing at 9, and moved to London to live with her coaches at 10 with her brother. They joined a pop group with Mark Ballas soon after. Dancing wasn’t a part of Olivia’s childhood. She was born in England but moved to Australia at age 6. However, she, like Julianne, also had a group — she formed one with two other girls at 14, called Sol Four.
The workouts
One thing we have to point out is that over the years, Julianne Hough is really into her fitness — and she shows it all over Instagram. As for Olivia, well we all know that she created the epic workout gear. No one rocks a pair of leggings and leg warmers like ONJ.
Grease
We do know that Julianne got Olivia’s approval and blessing before taking on the role. “I met her a few months ago for the second time and she knew I was doing Grease and playing Sandy, and I mean, immediately she was just like, ‘You’re the perfect Sandy. You’re gonna be amazing,’ and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I got her blessing,'” Julianne told Access Hollywood. “By the way, that weight is off my shoulders. At least she’s OK with it and now I feel like I can just go do it. But yeah, she’s amazing, and she’s everything you’d hoped she would be and more. She’s incredible.”
