Hairstylist Ashley Streicher created her hot hairstyle using Leonor Greyl products. Ashley told HollywoodLife.com:
“I wanted Lily’s hair to be different than her Golden Globes look. Since she was wearing a bold lip, I thought a side part would be soft and pretty. Also, Alexander McQueen dress was so beautiful — but was also simple on top — so we definitely wanted to do the hair down with some chic texture.”
Ashley started with the moisturizing Leonor Greyl Shampooing Crème Moelle de Bambou.
“While her hair was wet, I sprayed Leonor Greyl Lait Luminescence through the ends and smoothed Leonor Greyl Eclat Naturel, a moisturizing, heat-protecting styling cream, throughout. Next, I blew out her hair with a medium-sized round brush, keeping some fullness and wave.”
“I gave her a clean side part. And then, starting on the parted side, I wrapped two-inch sections of hair around a one-inch styling rod and sprayed withLeonor Greyl Laque Souple. After I curled her whole head, I used a vent brush to break up and stretch out the curls — Leonor Greyl Voluforme spray held them in place.”
“Finally, I tucked one side behind her ear and sprayed with Leonor Greyl Voluforme while brushing it down tightly, to hold it in place. To finish the look, I misted with again Leonor Greyl Voluforme and pulled through Leonor Greyl Eclat Naturel on the ends.”
Lily James: Hair & Makeup At Pride And Prejudice And Zombies Premiere
Ashley’s sister, celebrity makeup artist Jenn Streicher, used Votre Vu makeup for Lily’s glowing, romantic look.
“Lily loved the Alexander McQueen dress she wore last night. She was going to wear it to the Golden Globes but ended up going with a Marchesa. So she’s has been saving this dress for a while, and we’ve been discussing it and coming up with ideas the whole time. Because the dress was a statement in itself — it’s very sexy — we didn’t want to go too crazy with hair or makeup. We wanted the look to convey accidental sexiness. That translated into makeup that was quite simple, but with a bold lip as the focus.”
“First, for the eyes, I used two shades from the Votre Vu Palette Play Eye Shadow Quad in Copper. I applied Gilt all over her lid up to the crease and Copper Suede along her lash line. Since she had a side part with her hair tucked behind one ear, Lily’s skin would be showing and needed to be beautiful. First I moisturized with Votre Vu Attentive Crème de Nuit Sensitive Skin. We wanted her to be nice and dewy, so I used the Votre Vu Love Me Deux Moisture Tint and Concealer to lightly even out her skin.”
“On the cheeks, I started with a contour shade, Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow, right under her cheekbones. On the apples of her cheeks, I used a dusky rose cream blush, Votre Vu Vu-On Rouge in Bouquet Rose. It’s not an overly pink shade—it’s rosy and has that subtle sultriness that we were looking for. And because it’s a cream, it made her skin glow.”
“Lily’s dress was nude, which meant we wanted a statement lip. And she’s so young that I wanted to make sure the color was modern. We went with an orange-red: Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in 1975 Red. It beautifully brought out the red floral appliqué on her dress.”
“To finish up, I applied Votre Vu Silk Stockings on Lily’s arms and chest. It’s my favorite product Votre Vu makes! It’s a body lotion that has a little color and shimmer to it. But once you put it on, it does not budge. It’s absolutely beautiful. And for Lily, her skin is quite fair, so that product was key. It made her look sun-kissed, and she loved that!”
