‘Things with Gavin are worse than ever right now,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s doing everything he can to get her upset, including bringing Mindy around the kids. She and Gavin have a joint custody agreement, so there’s nothing she can do about his choice to keep Mindy around, but it’s a hard pill for her to swallow. Gavin’s argument is that the kids still have a bond with Mindy, and he doesn’t see why she can’t see them.”
The 46-year-old reportedly found out in February that her then-husband had been cheating on her with the family nanny for three years. Mindy was let go once Gwen discovered the affair, and by August, the No Doubt frontwoman had filed for divorce. Luckily, she quickly rebounded with Blake, and their relationship has thrived ever since. “Gwen knows Gavin is doing this to get back at her because he doesn’t like Blake,” our source adds. “She is trying her best not to let it get to her.”
Even though they just began dating at the end of last year, reports quickly surfaced that Gwen and the country superstar were headed on the fast-track to marriage, but as we previously reported, a wedding isn’t going to happen as soon as originally rumored — but it doesn’t mean the relationship isn’t super serious. “Gwen does not feel the need to go down a traditional path,” an insider revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She did the marriage thing and it didn’t work out, so she is not in a rush to go down that path again. But she is very serious about Blake. Things are moving fast and she’s fine with it. They’re in love.”
Pregnancy rumors have also plagued the couple, and Blake himself shot down that one. “I think it’s awfully early to start talking about that, don’t you?” the 39-year-old sniped, when reporters asked him if a baby was coming.
