“I knew Charlie as the man, and not the myth or the legend,” Natalie told Entertainment Tonight on Nov. 19. Natalie told ET that he “didn’t pay me to keep quiet about his HIV diagnosis or anything else,” and defended her ex against claims that he was HIV positive during the time he was dating both Natalie and Bree.
“I…don’t believe I was around when he was diagnosed or contracted the virus,” Natalie said, after she said that she’s been tested “several times” since she and Charlie ended their relationship. “I can definitely say that my recollections at the time are greatly different than the ones that [Bree] has mentioned.”
This may be the start of a Goddess War. Bree tore into him after he announced he was HIV positive. While on Howard Stern’s show, Bree claimed that the time Charlie caught the disease was “when I was with him! We were sleeping together every single night.” She then said he “never” told her he was sick.
Charlie fired back at Bree’s accusations that he kept his HIV diagnosis a secret from her. He said that he didn’t even know he had the disease until after they broke up, a claim backed up by Charlie’s manager. Mark Burg explained that Charlie didn’t tell Bree that he was HIV positive because she was “fired from the [Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour” in April 2011. Mark added that Charlie “tested negative two times” after the tour completed, and he didn’t find out his condition until long after they broke up.
Bree’s not the only one going after Charlie. Jenny McCarthy ripped into her Two And A Half Men co-star, claiming he wasn’t “upfront” about his HIV when she played his love interest on the hit sitcom. Charlie’s manager chimed in again, telling her to check her dates since he caught the disease long after he left the show! Fans even lashed out at Jenny for her “hypocritical” comments. Yikes!
