Rebel’s character, Robin, is a pro at living the single life. Dakota’s character? Not so much. She asks a group of guys for drinks at the beginning of the trailer, and it’s painfully awkward. It’s like turn your head away awkward.
Robin continues to give Alice advice on being a single girl in New York City, including the number of drinks it takes before she’ll sleep with a guy. Robin’s pretty right about that when it comes to Alice.
“If I had more than 5 drinks, I would hook up with you,” Alice says to Robin. As they continue their adventures, Alice is shocked to watch Robin drink Pedialyte after a night out. “That stuff is for babies,” Alice says in disgust.
The funniest part of the trailer isn’t until the very end when Robin starts talking junk about Alice’s vagina. “Is that Tom Hanks from Cast Away? Seriously, it’s like Gandalf is staring right at me,” Robin jokes about Alice’s supposed hairy vagina.
How To Be Single also stars Leslie Mann, Alison Brie, Jake Lacy and Damon Wayans Jr. The movie will be released on Feb. 12, 2016. That’s just in time for Valentine’s Day! This is a much different Valentine’s Day movie for Dakota, who starred in Fifty Shades of Grey last year. (You can buy it here!)
