Harry solved the mystery behind Liam’s sudden illness when he spoke to Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 on Oct 22. When Chris asked if he can send Liam anything to help him fell better, Harry had one reply: “Pepto-Bismol.” When asked if it was a “stomach issue,” Harry said Liam was “just…very ill.” Harry tried his best to not be very gross about it, before he just said, “it wasn’t pretty.”
Uh, yikes. Since Pepto advertises itself as a cure for nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, and lastly, diarrhea, Harry pretty much painted a graphic picture without saying much. No wonder Liam and the rest of the boys had to pull out of their Oct. 20 show in Belfast. Harry also explained why he, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson didn’t perform as a trio, saying that it wouldn’t be the same since “Liam’s a huge part of everything.”
The sudden, literal last-minute cancellation of the show left fans terribly concerned over what was wrong with Liam. Still, the band was just as heartbroken as their fans that they weren’t performing. Both Harry and Louis Tomlinson apologized to the fans. “Deepest apologies,” a very disappointed Harry tweeted, with Louis saying that the choice “was out of [their] control.”
When Liam finally broke his silence, he said that he was “feeling much better now” and that he couldn’t wait to “make it up” to all his fans with the rescheduled concert date. What Liam didn’t say was why he was sick.
He looked perfectly healthy when he joined the band on stage for their Oct. 22 concert. There was plenty of speculation as to why Liam pulled out of the concert, with him reportedly suffering a “complete meltdown” to his reported pressures of fame and touring. Perhaps this pressure was felt in his digestive system.
Are you glad that Liam is feeling better, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Liam should have just said he was having stomach issues?
