If you thought Salt N Pepa hasn’t been doing anything since their huge hit “Push It” — think again. In fact, the ladies were just performing in Brooklyn on Sept. 12! But Sandra Denton (Pepa) showed she might be little out of practice when she took a nasty fall on stage. Eek!
The rapper was getting the crowd going from on top of a speaker in front of the stage, but when she tried to hop over to the next landing, she took a major spill and went down hard. A security guard even gave her a hand to help her across, but the tumble was inevitable. Yikes! (CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO).
Luckily, Pepa didn’t seem too fazed. She hopped right back up with the help of the security guard, and practically ignored him when he checked to make sure she was okay. Instead, she turned right back to the crowd and kept the show going, and continued moving around all over the place as the concert continued.
Salt N Pepa formed back in 1985 under the name ‘Super Nature,’ and released their first single “Showstopper.” After that, they changed the group’s name to Salt N Pepa. They scored their first major hit with “Push It” — which you can buy here — in 1987, and although they haven’t released a new studio album in almost 20 years, the song has remained well-known. Hopefully Pepa really is okay so this won’t be the last performance we see from the gals!
