Chanel West Coast Sets The Record Straight On The Night Of Her Brutal Arrest

Not a lot of people really know what caused Chanel West Coast to be arrested on the night of Aug. 4. There have been rumors that the rapper got into a fight with a girl at 1OAK in West Hollywood, Calif., but Chanel tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY what went down that night. Chanel West Coast, 26, is saying she's innocent the night of her arrest after a night out with her friends in West Hollywood, Calif. It was reported that the rapper got into a physical altercation with another woman at the club, but Chanel tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that isn't the case.

The Young Money rapper says she didn’t do anything wrong on the night of Aug. 4 when she was arrested. “I was really drunk and I might act a little crazy when I’m drunk. I dance a little crazy, I get a little loud, but I did nothing to hurt anybody,” Chanel EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com at her mixtape release party. “I never got in a fight, punched a girl in the club or anything like that. It was just a really bad situation that got out of hand.” But the 26-year-old isn’t letting that horrible incident keep her down and she’s setting an example for her fans.

“I know a lot of people who’ve been in situations like that where you’re in a situation you can’t control. You’re innocent and not guilty and you just gotta keep your head up and stay focus,” the Ridiculousness star continued. “Even with a criminal record, there’s always a way to work past that. There’s always a way to work past the worst things that have happens to you, so I just want my fans to know that if anything bad has happened to you like that, that you can stay focused on the future and get past it and move on.” Clearly the Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory star moved on from the scary event. The 26-year-old rapper just released her new mixtape titled “Waves.”

Two years after releasing her first mixtape, Now You Know, Chanel is back with another one. With a full debut album releasing in the fall, Chanel wanted release a mixtape just to hold fans over before her album. The rapper hopes people will understand her a lot better with this mixtape. “I definitely just want people to feel my vibe and feel where I come from,” she tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “I feel like I kept a west coast vibe on it, but at the same time you can also hear I have influences from everywhere I’ve been in my life. My dad is from New York and I grew up bicoastal, so I definitely have an east coast influence too.
