If there’s anyone who can help comfort Perrie Edwards, 22, after her painful split with Zayn Malik, 22, it’s Eleanor Calder, 23. The former girlfriend of One Direction‘s Louis Tomlinson, 23, has been a source of strength for Perrie during her difficult time. Now, HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned that Eleanor told Perrie that if she wants to get over Zayn, she needs to cut him off completely!
“Eleanor has been super supportive of Perrie,” an insider EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. Eleanor reached out to Perrie to offer her support once she heard that Zayn had broken off their engagement. El offered her experience of ending a relationship with a former boy band member, and first on the list: absolutely no contact with Zayn!
“[Eleanor] told [Perrie] not to text, call or have any contact with Zayn whatsoever!” the source tells HollywoodLife.com. “Her advice: ‘Stop looking for happiness in the same place you lost it’.” In fact, Eleanor knows Perrie might feel tempted to ring up her ex-fiancé, and if she does, “[she’s] to call HER if she gets the urge to contact Zayn.”
It seems like sound advice. With Zayn enjoying the single life and flirting with Kylie Jenner on Twitter, Eleanor’s thinks that Perrie should focus on herself instead of him. In fact, the source says that Eleanor told Perrie that “[Zayn] doesn’t deserve her time or energy!”
While Eleanor is helping Perrie with her relationship issues, she has to deal with her own ex. Louis’s about to become a dad with Briana Jungwirth, but when he wants to start a family, it would be with Eleanor. “Louis and Eleanor could very possibly get back together, but not right now,” an insider EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com. “Louis has reassured her that if he was ever planning on settling down and starting a family, it would be with her.”
What do you think about Eleanor’s advice, HollywoodLifers? Do you cut off all contact with your ex after a break-up? What do you think Perrie should do?
