After finding out that Charles had gone completely bonkers and embedded MICROCHIPS in the girls, Spencer and Aria tried to figure out how to remove them. Ew. However, after some thinking, Spencer said they should keep them in and find out how to use it against Charles.
Mr. D was getting Alison the heck out of Rosewood after finding that creepy birthday card from Charles. I know Alison’s trying to look after her friends and all, but I would be getting as far away from Rosewood as I could if I were her. [jwplatform XhxezlF6]
Sara’s friend Claire stopped by again and wanted to see Sara. Emily seemed a little hesitant. She told Sara about it later, and they talked about their kiss. It was Sara’s first “real kiss” in three years. Yeah, I’m sure Charles wasn’t handing them out in the dollhouse. They had lunch with Claire, and Emily got kind of jealous. Later, Sara told Emily that she was leaving. Emily wasn’t pleased. She threw some shade at Claire by saying she had talked junk about Sara. Sara admitted she wasn’t the nicest person way back when. Plus, if Sara didn’t live with Emily, they could actually be together. Sara kissed Emily, and it was sweet. But there’s something fishy about Sara.
Toby was back this week, and he wasn’t wearing his police uniform. As hot as the police uniform looks on Toby, it’s nice to swoon over him in normal outfits. Spoby’s canoodling session was interrupted by Aria. Spencer went to Mona’s with Hanna and Aria to discuss their plan of attack about Leslie. Apparently, she didn’t want to talk anymore. Mona said they shouldn’t push Leslie. She didn’t know anything else. Uh huh. Sure.
Mike Is Back (Swoon)
Lorenzo stopped by the DiLaurentis house looking for Alison, and Jason said she was going to be gone for a couple of days. Geez, Jason is looking so fine. After Lorenzo left, he found a toy blue frog and a card with a red balloon. Charles is really going all out for this birthdAy celebration.
Mike returned, and he was looking better than ever. As we all know, Cody Christian has been stealing the show over on Teen Wolf, but Rosewood got to have him for the night. Seriously, that denim shirt? HOT! He was upset over Mona. He hadn’t seen or talked to her since she was found. He thought Aria had something to do with it, but she swore she was innocent.
Mike was a determined guy. He went to Mona’s house to talk to her. She said she didn’t want to see him. (What?! How?!) She felt guilty for all that had happened over the last few months. Mike didn’t care about the past or all the drama. All he cared about was Mona. Swoon. He grabbed her hand and asked her if she wanted him to go because he’s actually the perfect gentleman. When she didn’t say “no,” he kissed her.
Don’t Eat The Gummy Bears
Hanna got $30,000 worth of scholarship money and was ecstatic about it. But was it too good to be true? She started to worry when she found out the company that had given her the money was connected to Radley. Hanna later told her mom they shouldn’t take the money. She had a really bad feeling about it.
Alison called Spencer from her hotel room and told her Charles was still alive. Mr. D had begged Jason to come along with them, but he refused. Aria, Hanna and Spencer went to the DiLaurentis house to find Jason, but he had gone rogue. Speaking of going rogue, the girls also removed the microchips from their necks by themselves!
Spencer called Toby and wanted to be honest with him about everything. She wanted him to promise he wouldn’t say anything to Tanner about what she was about to show him. She showed him a picture of the DiLaurentis family, pointing out Charles/”A.” She wanted Toby to go find Jason. Before he left, Toby picked up the bag of pot gummy bears that Sabrina had left in Spencer’s bag earlier. Oh no. Toby ate them. Bless him.
Meet Freddie
Mona picked up Alison at the hotel. Alison called 911 and actually said this to the dispatcher: “I know who ‘A’ is.” Like, why would you tell that to a 911 dispatcher?! Maybe all of Rosewood is up to speed on the “A” drama. They must have known about it — the police headed straight to the DiLaurentis house.
Jason showed up alone at the location Charles had written on the birthday invitation. Charles was waiting for him. Jason was more than ready to meet his brother again after all these years. Just as Charles was about to reveal his face to Jason, Toby and Lorenzo came with guns blazing. Toby got completely out of whack because of the pot gummy bears, which allowed Charles to escape.
After their latest plan had failed, the girls were back to square one. Aria was having a really tough time with it all. Mike came by her room and said he was going to work things out with Mona. He tried to make Aria feel better, too. “You’re really brave, you know that right?” he said. Sibling love! Aria also got a letter from an arts fellowship program — she got in!
Spencer went to see Toby at the police station. He was still pretty out of it and in shock. She apologized for the pot gummy bears. “I need you to leave,” Toby said, with tears in his eyes. Poor Spoby. Just when they take a step forward, something happens and they take 10 steps back.
Sara left Emily’s house, and Em was feeling kind of lonely. To let out some of her frustrations, she demolished the microchip. Alison found Jason at the house about to drown his sorrows with alcohol. Alison pleaded with him not to. “All I wanted was one moment alone with my brother,” Jason said. Dude, Charles is a full-blown PSYCHOPATH. Suddenly, they heard a video coming from another room. The video was of Jason and Alison playing with a second cousin named “Freddie” on his birthday. He asked Mrs. D, who was filming the video, “When do I go back?” Was Freddie actually Charles?
There was a card next to the projector that read, “I wAnted to trust you.” The final scene featured Charles unwrapping a present of Jason, Alison and Freddie from the party. The card said, “From your friend and ally.”
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s Pretty Little Liars? Are you glad Mike and Mona are back together? Who do you think Charles is? Let me know!
