Starting the day off with a positive note is always a good idea, but Chris Brown’s, 26, early morning Instagram post on July 14 left some scratching their heads. The singer shared an edited photo and basically insinuated that he is a role model to his fans.
Some people may think the singer is far from being a role model, but apparently Chris himself and a number of fans see him as one. Although the post has been deleted by the 26-year-old, the picture he shared on Instagram was clearly a fan edited text photo. “A role model isn’t someone who does everything right, but someone who falls down and gets right back up,” the text read. It was accompanied by a photo of both Chris in jail and on stage accepting an award at the BET Awards. Obviously the singer agreed with it since he shared the picture.
Chris has been through many ups and downs in his life. The Loyal singer started off his musical career pretty successfully until he was involved in a domestic violence case in which he attacked ex-girlfriend Rihanna, 27. After that horrific event his career started going downhill, but in recent years Chris has steadily come back up from it and is doing much better for himself. While the singer’s perseverance is certainly a quality to look up to, do fans really see Chris as their own role model?
Despite some of the negative press Chris has gotten in the past, the singer has seemingly turned a new leaf after he found out about his daughter, Royalty, 1. In his acceptance speech at the 2015 BET Awards, the singer thanked his fans for sticking with him, but the sweetest part was when Chris said he was most thankful for his baby girl.
HollywoodLifers, do you see Chris as a role model or not?
