Steven was discovered dead on June 29, reports RadarOnline, who confirmed his death with the Fulton Country Medical Examiner’s office. The exact cause of death has not been determined, but sources close to Steven told Radar that his “family and friends suspect it was from a drug overdose.”
In Mar 2015, Steven reportedly told Radar that he allegedly helped Bobbi Kristina and Nick get drugs, “sometimes but not regularly” in the past. Steven’s drug dealing had got him arrested twice over the past two years. He was caught in Oct 2013 with 5.8 grams of heroin while he was already had been on probation. He pled guilty and was sentenced to a year in jail. Steven spoke with Radar in March to clear his name, to say that he had cleaned up his act and that he had “a great job and a child on the way.”
Steven had “been on the path to sobriety,” the source also commented, telling Radar that he had been attending AA meetings, but they “believe that he fell back into using heroin or with mixing it.” The exact results of his heartbreaking death won’t be known for another two weeks, as his toxicology test is being conducted in a private lab.
Bobbi Kristina remains in hospice care, after spending five months in an unresponsive state after being found unconscious in her bathtub on Jan 31. Prior to her accident, Bobbi Kristina was allegedly addicted to multiple drugs, including heroin and cocaine. Her ex-boyfriend, Zach Jafarzedeh, reportedly feared that she had taken a Xanax and fell asleep while in the bath, leading to her tragic state.
