Emily Kinney, 29, and Norman Reedus, 46, were instantaneously pegged as Hollywood’s hot new couple after a report claimed The Walking Dead costars were dating. The only thing missing seemed to be confirmation from the actors themselves! Norman took to Twitter amidst buzz of his alleged romance with Emily, and his response is pretty epic.

“New couple alert,” Norman tweeted along with a picture of him smiling next to Arnold Schwarzenegger, 67. Well, that’s one way to slam a rumor, that’s for sure! While many would love for Norman and Emily to date, it seems like this was Norman’s way of mocking the reports. Sorry, fans.

After having a laugh at Norman’s tweet, it also has to feel like a stab in the heart to Norman and Emily shippers! Their chemistry has been apparent from day one on show, and they’re even super close off-screen, too! Seriously, just check out their cute PDA. However, it seems like they’re nothing more than friendly, as both Norman slammed the rumors and his rep also denied these rumors, by telling HollywoodLife.com, “we can confirm that they are not dating.” BRB, crying a river.

The original report claimed that Norman and Emily “had a connection early on in the show,” according to Us Weekly, “but the romance developed recently.” Emily and Norman are close friends off-screen, and have fueled dating rumors because they’re just so comfortable and friendly with each other! While it’s crushing to hear they’re not dating in real life, it’s good to know they remain close — and that Norman was able to have a good laugh about it.
