DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) is a single mom, raising her two children and expecting another in the new spinoff Fuller House. Of course, Full House ended with DJ reuniting on prom night with Steve (Scott Weinger), so many assumed they were the ones who got married and he died — but that’s actually NOT THE CASE. (You can freak out now.
“I have now become DJ Fuller,” Candace said on Access Hollywood Live on May 7. “I was married to Tommy Fuller, so that’s the reason for the name Fuller House. But now I’m widowed!”
PAUSE — that means Steve isn’t dead and could possibly be returning. Candace did say that the entire cast would be returning for the Netflix show so now we’re thinking that has to mean Steve will make a cameo.
We don’t know much about her late husband either, except that he was a firefighter, according to our sister site TVLine.
Candace and Scott did reunite and their characters married and moved to Hidden Hills on the season two final of ABC’s The Neighbors, so maybe that’s a telling sign that there’s still hope!
As for the kids, DJ has a 12 or 13-year-old son, Jessie Daniel, who is reportedly a “ladies’ man,” who is having a hard time without his father, TVLine reports. He’s a musician, too — thanks Uncle Jesse. Another boy is Max, who’s 6 or 7 years old with O.C.D. like Danny Tanner. He also is a little more of a geek, and looks up to his older bro.
Kimmy’s daughter is 12 or 13 and is bi-racial, embracing her Latina heritage. She’s smart but more into boys than school — and loves social media.
Sounds good, right? With Steve it will be perfect.
