Daisy Duke who? They should rename those infamous denim shorts after Jessica Simpson. After shimmying into the tiny shorts for the remake of the 70s’ classic The Dukes of Hazzard, Jess spent the next decade fighting off haters who expected the mother of two to keep her perfect figure. Jessica has always been gorgeous, and the photos snapped of her cruising through the doors of Toys R’ Us in Los Angeles.
Accompanied by adorable three-year-old daughter Maxwell, husband Eric Johnson, 35 and their one year-old son Ace, it was a family trip to the toy palace to pick out some birthday treats for the toddler, who turned three on May 1. Jessica looked far from the shlubby weekend mom, pairing her denim hot pants with a chic black blazer and a low-cut black tank. She accessorized with an enviable red purse, sky-high red and white floral Dolce and Gabbana wedges and black aviator shades. Her blonde tresses were tousled perfectly as always. Must be nice!

Jessica isn’t the only person who’s tried on the daring Daisy Dukes. Hilary Duff, 27, sampled the sexy look for her turn as the April cover girl for Cosmopolitan magazine. She paired the denim shorts with a little black leather jacket and some serious attitude. There’s no question that she seriously rocked this number almost as hard as Jessica.
We think it’s pretty cool that these two hot mamas can flaunt their sexy legs after multiple babies. Our heroes!
