One Direction’s New Fragrance Ad Still Includes Zayn Malik — See Pic

Wow -- way to stomp on our fragile little hearts, One Direction. Just when it looked like the world was ready to accept Zayn Malik's departure from the British boy band, they release a promo image for their new fragrance, which still includes their former bandmate. Sigh. Yes, One Direction has been Zayn Malik-less since March 25, but that doesn't mean we're over it yet. One Direction is releasing a mini collection of three fragrances, called The One Collection, and apparently, the band decided to go ahead and use a promotional image that was shot before the 22-year-old singer's departure because life is cruel and unfair. Just LOOK at him. It's going to be okay, One Directioners, grab a tissue.

One Direction’s Fragrance Ad With Zayn Malik — He Returns To Band For New Ad

If you’re not staring at The One Collection ad, sobbing and screaming, “Zaaaayn, why?” then maybe you’ll be interested in learning a little bit about the band’s fragrance campaign. There’s still four other members to fawn over, you know.

The ad shows the former five-some shot in black and white, all dressed in button downs as they stare solemnly at the camera. I mean, except for Harry; it was clearly necessary to keep the shirt unbuttoned, add a scarf and stare wistfully off to the side. Thinking about you, of course.

Their collections includes three fragrances: You and I, That Moment and Our Moment. Featuring notes of fresh fruit, musk and flowers like orchids and peonies, you’ll probably smell just as good as you’re dreaming the 1-D boys do.

As you can see from the Vine the 1-D boys posted a couple years ago, when the separate fragrances were released, they’re great fans of their product — it’s actually the only Vine on their account (and it’s been played almost three million times). Niall Horan sings a little tune about the perfume while having a ball tossing it in the air. Maybe don’t try that at home.

The fragrance site doesn’t offer any information about when The One Collection will be available for purchase, but it’s clear that this is a big campaign for the boys, if the prominence of their new image on the fragrance site is any indication.

One Direction: Zayn Malik Removed From Band’s Newest Tour Poster

It’s especially strange that the fragrance ad went up with Zayn included, as he was conspicuously missing from the band’s latest tour poster, released today, April 9. The newly minted four-member band will complete the On The Road Again tour without Zayn, and it seems like they’ll have no trouble without him.

After Zayn suddenly quit the band in March, Harry, 21, Niall, 21, Liam Payne, 21 and Louis Tomlinson, 23 were forced to put their tour on hold to make changes to their set in order to compensate for their missing bandmate. Now that the tour is back in full swing, and Zayn’s decision to leave is permanent, they’re back with a revamped tour and apparently an acceptance that they’re now a foursome.
