The dress that drove the Internet mad is back and this time it is 100 percent, without a doubt white and gold. Less than one week after the dress controversy, British retailer Roman Originals is releasing its buzzed-about design in a totally new color combination. Would you buy it?
The dress may be on its last legs as an Internet phenomenon, but apparently it’s still in high demand by online shoppers! Such high demand, in fact, that Roman Originals has produced a limited edition, white and gold version of the dress, which will be available for purchase on its e-tail site, according to the UK’s Daily Mail.
The company has also put one of the new white dresses with gold lace detailing up for auction on eBay.
A spokesperson for Roman Originals tells the Daily Mail, “#TheDress that broke the internet could become one the world’s most wanted dresses as an exclusive white and gold version goes on auction on ebay today. The winning bidder can grab a piece of internet history as only one exclusive dress in white and gold has been made and will go up for auction until Sunday.”
Proceeds will go to the British charity Comic Relief.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Laura Coleman, who was the first to model the dress for Roman Originals, took her Instagram on Feb. 27 to confirm its colors. She posted a picture of herself wearing the dress, captioning it: “Okay so I was the first to wear this dress and just to confirm it’s definitely black and blue! #thedress”.
