‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: Magic Mike
Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) relationship with Toby (Keegan Allen) was still in a pretty bad place. He was torn between his duty to the law and to Spencer. Poor Spoby. Couple that with new guy Johnny and this fan-favorite couple is in major jeopardy.
Holbrook’s (Sean Faris) sexy and shady self was back in Rosewood, and the Liars were desperate to find out what he was up to. They believed that Alison had brought him back out in the open to scare them as her trial got closer and closer.
A mysterious new gal hit up Rosewood looking for Hanna (Ashley Benson). Her name was Leslie and she was a friend of Mona’s (Janel Parrish). She wanted to thank the girls for being there for Mona and her mom. Leslie seemed harmless, but no one ever is on Pretty Little Liars. Spencer wanted to keep a sharp eye on her.
Spencer’s mom conveniently left her suitcase out and Spencer took a peek inside. Her mom was a part of Alison’s case and her sign-in sheet was a like a gift to Spencer. And guess who was on there — MIKE!
‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: There’s Something About Leslie
While at the police station, Hanna and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) witnessed Holbrook throwing a Real Housewives-style fit at the police station. He’d gotten suspended. Oh god. He could go off the deep end.
Spencer told Aria (Lucy Hale) about Mike visiting Alison. Aria’s shocked reaction was pretty much expected. When Aria tried to confront him for the first time this episode, he was creepily watching a list of movies that Mona had wanted to watch.
Um, when did Mike get so hot? Watch out, Caleb, Ezra (Ian Harding) and Toby. There’s a new ultimate hottie in Rosewood.
Leslie had picked up a special book from Mona’s room before heading to The Brew. When Mike noticed the Edgar Allan Poe story book, he completely flipped out. He wanted to take it back to Mona’s house. I’m with Mike on this one, y’all.
This girl Leslie… there’s something fishy about her.
Emily was still conflicted about her relationship with Talia. After her recent breakup with Paige, she didn’t know what she wanted. Caleb gave her some OK advice about to do next. “You take a calm, clear look at everything, you work it out logically in your head, and then you flip a coin,” Caleb said.
Since Toby was noticeably absent from this episode, Johnny was keeping Spencer very interested. He was coming up with a nifty invention for The Brew and was just being all-around cute. However, the fact that he had directions for the invention written on the back of Alison’s missing flyer was a tad weird. When the invention was finished, Spencer was super impressed. His invention made it easy to “whisper” between two people. This is not an exact definition of the concoction so don’t hate me.
‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: Major Creep Alert
Hanna took a closer look at Mona’s book and found a tape hidden inside! That Mona. She was so crafty. Hanna left pretty quickly, but someone was following her!
The person on the tape was Bethany Young and she was not happy with about some “b–ch.” Who in the world was she talking about? Alison?
As Hanna drove home, she was stopped by Holbrook. He was super sketchy, to say the least. He was beyond pissed at Alison. “I had a career,” he spat at Hanna. “I don’t have that anymore. I’m finished because of her.”
He admitted that he was not the one who cleaned out the storage unit and tried to kill Spencer, Aria and Emily. That was someone else. Could it be — dare I say — Mike? Holbrook tried to kiss Hanna, but she hit him! No one messes with Haleb like that!
Mike was hanging out at the docks and being weird. He was leaving behind a little bag of goodies behind for someone, but when Aria tried to question him about it, he bolted.
He wouldn’t even walk Aria home! “Be careful going home through the woods,” he nastily told her. Someone needs to learn some manners!
GOSH, MIKE IS SO CREEPY NOW, BUT SO HOT. THE ULTIMATE CONFLICT.
Spencer’s mom revealed to her that the blood spot from the storage unit was Alison’s. And the plot thickens! Emily and Talia kissed after episodes of sexual tension. Sorry, Paily lovers.
Hanna and Spencer agreed that Mike was the one helping Alison. Aria was worried beyond words and it doesn’t look good for Mike. At the end of the episode, Mike was visiting Alison again.
Goodness, y’all. Secrets just keep building up in Rosewood!
