Hey, at least Matt Lauer got her name right! Idina Menzel helped kick off the holiday season on NBC’s annual holiday special, ‘Christmas In Rockefeller Center’ with a performance of the Burl Ives classic, ‘Holly Jolly Christmas.’ What fun!
When you’ve got a new holiday album, there is no better way to celebrate than performing in the heart of NYC for the annual lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. Broadway star Idina Menzel did just that on Dec. 3, performing a song off her new album, Holiday Wishes, for the annual ‘Christmas In Rockefeller Center’ special.
Bundled in an festive winter jacket, Idina crooned and belted out the holiday classic with finesse, even though she was performing under clearly chilly circumstances. But Idina is nothing if not a professional!
While listening to Idina sing a Christmas classic is certainly a treat, earlier in the week, Frozen fans were delighted by a very different performance. Idina was joined by country superstar Jennifer Nettles on Dec. 1 to perform a stunning duet of ‘Let It Go’ at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for CMA Country Christmas.
