When Diem Brown realized it was really the end, her one last wish was to say goodbye to her sister, Megan, who was stuck in traffic. Grab a tissue and read on to find out what Megan told Diem when she finally reached her bedside minuets before her death — so sad.
On the day of her death, Nov. 14, Diem’s sister, Megan, who has been by her side everyday, was stuck in traffic on the way to the hospital. When Megan finally arrived at her bedside, she told Diem, “It’s okay baby, it’s okay, go to Mom.” She told People, “and as the last syllable hit my lips, her last breath hit her.”
In her final hours, Diem’s friends kept telling her “This is not giving up, you have fought enough” — but there was on last thing she wanted to do before letting go, which was to say goodbye to her sister. Being a fighter, Diem got the chance to say bye to Megan — what an amazing woman.
Diem’s close friend, Julie Rotondi, opened up about her last day saying, “It was like summer camp in her room.” They jammed out to dance music, including Diem’s favorite song, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” by Whitney Houston.
Also in her final hours, Diem’s friends remembered her amazing legacy. “We talked about how she’s affected so many people, then we would switch it over to all the funny stories about her,” Julie said. “Still to the end, she was putting in her two cents.”
HollywoodLifers, don’t forget to check out Diem’s support page, MedGift, where she encouraged people to donate money to help fund those suffering like she was.
“She would love for people to still donate to her MedGift page,” a source HollywoodLife.com.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the many who are dealing with Diem’s death.
