You get to relive Beyonce and Jay Z‘s elevator fight all over again on the upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU. The infamous elevator fight that took place on May 5, at NYC’s The Standard Hotel, showing Solange Knowles pummling Jay Z, is heading to TV on the latest upcoming episode titled “American Disgrace.”
The episode is about an NBA star who is accused of rape charges by multiple women. That’s when Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Carisi (Peter Scanavino) investigate! Some of the episode will focus on some security footage from inside the elevator, that’s when you may see similarities to the Solange and Jay Z fight, and the Ray Rice fight.
Warren Leight, the SVU showrunner, tells the Huffington Post, that he wanted to “capture the way these scandals broke.”
“I loved the idea of just a silent black and white scene, then sound goes out,” Leight said. “You kinda wanna know what’s going on.”
You might remember that they also did an episode that was somewhat based on the Chris Brown and Rihanna, assault in 2013.
Who will ever forget when footage of Bey’s little sister attacked Jay Z, made its way around the world. Solange hit and kicked Jay Z at the Met Ball after party and it was shocking.
HollywoodLife.com learned exclusively that the fight stemmed from Solange protecting her sister. She felt as though Jay Z was too close to fashion designer, Rachel Roy.
Check out the episode on Wed. Oct. 1 (9/8c) on NBC!
