Talk about the best news ever! Walt Disney Animation Studios announced on Sept. 2, that all of our favorite Frozen characters will be returning for the short film, Frozen Fever. The new film is set to debut in the spring of 2015, and will reportedly include a brand new original song! Read below for all the details!
According to the Huffington Post, the plot will bring all of our favorite characters together again! “It’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.”
The site also reports that Olaf, the adorable snowman who is voiced by Josh Gad, will also appear in the film. However it has not be announced whether Josh, Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Jonathan Groff ( who play, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff) will be in the new film.
While the actors have yet to be confirmed, directors, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are both back to direct the short, which the site reports will, “include a brand-new song from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the Oscar-winning duo behind “Let It Go.”
According to the site, the studio did not specify which movie Frozen Fever will accompany, but it would fit perfectly with the live-action Cinderella film, which is set to be released on March 13, and stars Cate Blanchett and Lily James.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, the original full-length film was so popular that Disney owned, ABC actually added some of the characters from the movie into their popular show, Once Upon A Time.
