The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder, 35, and Twilight actress Nikki Reed, 26, have been friends for years, but now it looks like the duo are taking things to the next level. The pair were spotted looking very close at the Studio City Farmers Market in Los Angeles on July 20, and Ian seemed totally “smitten” with his new leading lady, body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Ian and Nikki are both recently single after being in longterm relationships. Nikki filed for divorce from singer Paul McDonald, 29, in May 2014, while Ian famously dated his Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev on and off for several years.
Oddly enough, Nikki and Ian have been friends for a long time, and the two couples even used to go on double dates together!
Ian and Nikki cozied up to each other while doing a little shopping at the Studio City Farmers Market, and they definitely looked like a couple in pics from the cute date.
We asked body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass to weigh in on the new romance.”He seems to be in back of her so he is letting her take the lead,” she tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He may like her but they don’t look as intimate as he looks smitten with her.”
