Ian Somerhalder Relationship With Nikki Reed: He’s Smitten With New Fling

Ian and Nikki are both recently single after being in longterm relationships. Nikki filed for divorce from singer Paul McDonald, 29, in May 2014, while Ian famously dated his Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev on and off for several years.

Oddly enough, Nikki and Ian have been friends for a long time, and the two couples even used to go on double dates together!

Ian and Nikki cozied up to each other while doing a little shopping at the Studio City Farmers Market, and they definitely looked like a couple in pics from the cute date.

We asked body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass to weigh in on the new romance.”He seems to be in back of her so he is letting her take the lead,” she tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He may like her but they don’t look as intimate as he looks smitten with her.”

Aw, vampire love! We think it is so sweet that Ian is letting Nikki take the lead — he’s such a gentleman. We’re sure she’ll be hooked on him in no time!

Nikki Reed & Ian Somerhalder Have ‘Feelings’ For Each Other

As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Nikki and Ian “are really taking things slow because they don’t want to ruin their friendship, but there are also feelings there between the two.”

It seems like these two are really trying to make sure that their friendship remains the top priority. It’s so sweet that they’re turning everyday activities, such as going for a run or visiting a farmers market, into dates!

“They are keeping it very hush-hush,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Nikki is still dealing with the Paul breakup very hard — and Ian has been there for her. So they are just taking things in stride right now.”
