The April 13 episode of Revenge was one filled with shocking revelations, a breakup and even a death! Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Jack (Nick Wechsler) teamed up, Nolan (Gabriel Mann) waged war and Aiden (Barry Sloane) was given surprising news. Let’s head to the Hamptons!
Emily met up with Pascal (Olivier Martinez) at a local horse race to talk about their current partnership. Emily called him out for using her for Victoria’s (Madeleine Stowe) gain. Emily conversed with Aiden about how Victoria was using Pascal to spy on her while simultaneously trying to figure out Oscar Chapman’s whereabouts.
Nolan felt badly about how his own partnership with Javier (Henri Esteve) had gone south. He wanted to talk with Javier, but Javier was a little busy — he was in bed with Charlotte (Christa B. Allen)! Charlotte wanted Javier to join forces with Daniel (Joshua Bowman) so she put the new girlfriend guilt trip on him and persuaded him to take a meeting with Daniel. Turns out, Margaux (Karine Vanasse) and Daniel were very interested in Javier’s app. It was just the thing to take them back to the top of Voulez.
Emily and Victoria crossed paths at the horse race, but didn’t have much to say to each other (believe it or not.) Victoria was preoccupied with the return of a familiar face: Luke Gilliam (Tim DeKay). Luke was a former co-worker of Conrad’s (Henry Czerny) who was supposed to take the fall for the Flight 197 bombing, however, Luke left Grayson Global before he could be framed so David Clarke (James Tupper) ended up being the scapegoat. Victoria was furious to see him and was still a little angry that David took the fall for the bombings. Later, Victoria went to Conrad to talk about Luke’s return. Conrad told Victoria to stop focusing on Luke and to instead ask Pascal what his involvement was in taking down David Clarke.
Jack and Margaux weren’t exactly doing too well in the romance department. Margaux was preoccupied with Voulez, while Jack was busy dealing with Stevie’s (Gail O’Grady) relapse. Jack wanted to spend time with his lady love, but Margaux turned him down. Jack said that he was gone for over a week and they didn’t talk once. (Sounds like they are headed for a breakup.)
Javier and Nolan engaged in a serious talks, annd Nolan told Javier that he believed in him just like David Clarke did in him. He also added that Javier had the brilliance, but also the potential to go down the wrong path. Despite Nolan’s attempts, Javier took the meeting with Daniel and Margaux. Those two put on a good show for Javier, even offering him the cover of Voulez. Their efforts were successful and Javier was officially on Team Anti-Nolan.
Once Jack found out about Daniel and Margaux’s scheme over Nolan, he went face-to-face with Margaux. He tried to tell Margaux that Daniel wasn’t her friend, but Margaux wasn’t hearing it. “I love you Margaux, but I can’t be around you right now,” Jack said. (Ouch.) Even though Jack had already defended Nolan, Nolan wasn’t going to let the Graysons win. He told Daniel and Charlotte that they have ignited a war with him.
Aiden and Nolan teamed up this week to seek out Oscar Chapman. Nolan discovered that a woman named Brenda Evans was the next best thing to Oscar. Aiden had a bit of a moment when he lamented about his father’s involvement in the bombings. Nolan assured him that maybe he didn’t know the whole story.
The two partners in crime had a stake out in front of Brenda Evans’ apartment. When she arrived, they cornered her and she bolted. However, it wasn’t Brenda, but Oscar in disguise! In order to stay safe, he had to pretend to be a woman when he left his apartment. Nolan persuaded him to come out of hiding. He knew Aiden was Trevor’s son and revealed that his father had no idea what he planted on that plane. Trevor was desperate to make things right and was set on paying for what he did. Trevor told Oscar his story, which he took to Pascal. Oscar told Aiden that his father didn’t commit suicide, but was murdered by Pascal!
Over at Grayson Manor, Victoria confronted Pascal about his involvement in David’s death. Pascal wasn’t up for talking. Victoria started hitting to get him to talk. Pascal finally told her that he only got involved to protect her. If Conrad had gone down, he would have taken Victoria down with him. He confessed that he had always loved her.
After his talk with Victoria, Pascal met up with Conrad. He played proof of Conrad’s connection in the bombings. Pascal had recorded every word of their conversations back in 1993. He basically told Conrad that he controlled him now.
Jack stopped by Emily’s to talk about his fight with Margaux. He just couldn’t understand how Margaux was so oblivious to the Grayson manipulation. Emily was trying to figure out how to take down Luke. Apparently, Luke was now head of a organization that promoted clean water, but the chemicals he used were toxic. Even though she was hesitant, Jack partnered up with Emily. “I’m all in,” he said. (Yay!)
Emily met with Luke to establish a takedown. Emily and Jack put on a good performance for Luke and he bought every second of it. While Luke was explaining to Jack that his chemicals were perfectly clean, Emily took a sample from his bag. Luke liked Emily so much that he wanted her to come to his awards ceremony.
Aiden called Emily to let him know the good news about Oscar. Emily and Jack were busy plotting the rest of Luke’s takedown. His chemical sample was fraudulent, only containing saline and gelatin. Emily gave Jack a memory stick, which she called Luke’s “undoing.” At Luke’s awards ceremony, he drank a sample only to have been poisoned by his own chemicals! Emily enjoyed watching the whole thing, but Victoria was keeping a close eye on her.
Pascal knew that Oscar had to be taken care of and headed on over to Oscar’s apartment. Oscar couldn’t divulge any information about Pascal’s involvement in the Flight 197 bombing and the media mogul didn’t hesitate to shoot Oscar dead! Conrad found Aiden at a bar and let him know about Pascal killing Oscar. Conrad said that Aiden was next, if he didn’t follow along. Conrad told his trusty sidekick who was there that if Aiden kept digging, then he really could be next!
Luke survived the poisoning, but only because Emily still needed him. Posing undercover, Emily commanded him to help her take down Conrad. As long as she left him alone, Luke said he would play by her rules.
After a successful day, Emily was a little closer to her revenge. Jack warned her to keep a watch out for herself. Emily congratulated him on the big move with Margaux, but Jack revealed to Emily that he didn’t think he and Margaux were going to make it. Emily asked him if he was okay and he said yes. (Emily and Jack are so much better as friends.) Emily pulled out her red sharpie and marked Luke off her list. However, Victoria was also keeping track of Emily’s revenge hit list with her own black sharpie! Victoria realized that Emily wasn’t waging war on her family. She was out for revenge for David Clarke!
What did you think of tonight’s Revenge? Can you believe Victoria figured out Emily’s identity? Are you glad that Emily and Jack are back to being friends? Let us know!
