“Rachel had some edge,” Kelly told us. “It’s crazy [what happened].”
Paulina Rubio, meanwhile, told us she “never expected” to see Rachel going home this early in the competition.
“Life and music is unpredictable,” she explained. “It was a shock for the whole mentors’ table.”
Rachel Potter Admits: ‘I Had A Rocky Start’
Meanwhile, Rachel is staying positive about the whole experience. Here’s what she told us when we caught up with her on the post-show carpet:
It wasn’t in the cards, that’s OK. I never thought I was going to win this from the beginning. I had a rocky start. Sometimes people have perfect journeys through these shows that just launch them, somebody like Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson, and it just keeps working out. For me, it was a bit of a roller coaster. But I’ve learned a lot, and that’s really cool. It’s clearly not my destiny to win The X Factor, but that doesn’t mean anything.
HollywoodLifers, are you bummed that Rachel was sent home last night? Who would YOU have chosen to lose? Drop a comment with your thoughts below.
