Renee Zellweger is completely offended by the rumors about her face and body, she revealed in a new interview, calling the claims “unfair and disappointing!”
“When you read reports that you are starving yourself or that you are anorexic, it’s very unfair and disappointing,” Renee told U.K’s Daily Express. “It’s not very pleasant to read reports which say you’ve gone too far or this or that.”
In 2001, the petite, 5’4″ actress gained 30 pounds for her iconic role in Bridget Jones’ Diary. She lost the weight quickly after, but then gained it back for the sequel in 2004, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. Her yo-yo weight sparked rumors, that resurfaced when she stepped out looking super slim at New York Fashion Week in fall 2013.
“I have a lifestyle that involves keeping my sanity by going to the gym,” the 44-year-old old the newspaper.
Could the intense working out be the cause of her new looking face, too?
At the premiere for Long Shot: The Kevin Laue Story, Renee chose a casual outfit, and swiped her hair back in a cute half up do. While she looked stunning, her face definitely was different from that fuller, round-faced Renee that we’re used to.
It looked extremely slimmed down, her eyes appeared much bigger than usual and her skin was extremely smooth. She didn’t wear much makeup — not that she needs it — and her newly shaped face caused speculation that she once got work done.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers — did Renee get plastic surgery? Or is the new look just due to her weight loss?
