It’s been a while since we’ve seen Zac Efron, 26, and Vanessa Hudgens, 24, together — but a potential High School Musical reunion could bring the ex-couple back together! Did Zac and Vanessa tweet that they wanted to see their castmates again?
The reunion idea was proposed by Monique Coleman, who played Vanessa’s best friend Taylor McKessie in the movie.
How cool would it be if the cast of #HSM came together for a reunion? Like real HS. It’s almost been 5 years! Tell me it thoughts 🐾

The last we saw of the East High School gang, they were finishing up their final year in High School Musical 3: Senior Year in 2008 — so a reunion is definitely the next step. Plenty of former Wildcats are on board!
Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans) was the first to tweet her excitement:
I’m SO in @gimmemotalk! #reunion — Ashley Tisdale (@ashleytisdale) October 15, 2013
She was followed by Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth) and Lucas Gabreel (Ryan Evans):
You bet @gimmemotalk, I’m in. #reunion
— Lucas Grabeel (@MrGrabeel) October 18, 2013
@gimmemotalk Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat! Hell yeah I’m in!

No response yet from Zac (Troy Bolton) or Vanessa (Gabriella Montez). They dated for almost five years after meeting on set in 2006, and called it quits in December 2010.
However, being back on set together could spur friendly sparks for the two once again, since Vanessa’s been dating actor Austin Butler since late 2011 and Zac’s been getting cozy with actress Lily Collins!
In the meantime, Zac was spotted out on Oct. 18 with Robert Pattinson, and Joe Jonas, celebrating his 26th birthday at Chateau Marmont in LA. Things were reportedly kept low-key since Zac recently completed a stint in rehab.
A reunion with his castmates might be out of the question for Zac, since his alleged drug addiction might have been caused by High School Musical!
“The drug problem he has been dealing with is because his career hasn’t gone the way he had strived for and intended,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He really wants to be the next Leo DiCaprio and he isn’t getting those roles.”
The movie was his first big break where he was portrayed as a squeaky-clean teen, so revisiting the past may not be in the cards for Zac.
What about you HollywoodLifers? Would a High School Musical reunion be the same without Zac? Let us know!
