So Seth Meyers will take over NBC’s Late Night as a married man! In a beautiful ceremony on Sept. 1, the comedian said “I do” to his gorgeous, longtime girlfriend, Alexi Ashe.
Seth, 39, and his lawyer fiancee Alexi said their vows on the quaint Massachusetts island of Martha’s Vineyard, according to Us Weekly. Alexi reportedly wore a cap sleeve lace dress, while Seth wore a dark-colored suit.
About 150 guests attended the romantic festivities — and the guest list was totally star-studded. Attendees included famous pals like Olivia Wilde, Allison Williams, Rose Byrne, Jack McBrayer, Jimmy Fallon, Bobby Cannavale, Lorne Michaels, Taran Killam, Rashida Jones, Mike Shoemaker, and Jake Gyllenhall. Plenty of former Saturday Night Live co-stars were on hand as well, like Andy Samberg, Fred Armisen, Amy Poehler, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Wiig, Kenan Thompson, and Will Forte.
Seth and Alexi apparently were in a hurry to tie the knot — they got engaged just more than a month ago in July. Reportedly, right after Seth proposed the couple sent out an email to friends with details about the upcoming nuptials.
“He’s very excited for the next phase of his life,” a source told Us at the time of the engagement. “He’s known that she’s The One for a while, but it was all about timing.”
Seth’s timing couldn’t be any better. Not only is he moving up in his career, taking over for Jimmy Fallon on Late Night in 2014, but he’ll be doing so with a loving wife on his arm!
