Zayn Malik Engaged: How The One Direction Member Proposed To Perrie Edwards
UPDATE: One Direction’s rep confirmed the engagement and said, “Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private.”
“It was so romantic – Zayn popped the question over the weekend when they were alone together,” a source told The Mirror.
“It’s one of the first weekends they’ve spent with each other, as they’ve both been on tours with their bands. He wanted to wait for the perfect moment,” the insider added. “All of [Perrie’s] bandmates were at V Festival, and she couldn’t wait to tell them. They’re all really excited for her, as the rest of One Direction are for Zayn.”
Aw — so romantic!
“Zayn got down on one knee and presented Perrie with the ring. She couldn’t believe it. It’s a shock to everyone,” a separate source also added to The Sun.

Perrie accompanied Zayn and the other One Direction boys at the band’s movie premiere, and she stunned onlookers in a black gown with sheer panels, a high pony tail and a big, HUGE diamond ring on her finger!
Fans immediately speculated that Perrie and Zayn were engaged.
We’re not very surprised by this new development. In a recent interview with Twist magazine, Perrie couldn’t stop gushing about Zayn.
“Zayn is so lovely,” Perrie said. “You know things are good when you can’t wait to see the other person. It’s a sense of friendship. The main thing I looked for is if he’s fun to be around, if I can have a laugh with him.”
