I’m referring, of course, to her unpardonable sin, the one thing we’ve all been fearing would come since the first episode of the season: She kissed Collin (Nolan Funk)! Yes, it was passionate. Yes, it was epic. But most importantly, it was wrong.
To be honest, I don’t really care what’s going on in Jenna’s head; Matty (Beau Mirchoff) has been the perfect boyfriend this season — not only has he put up with her incessant pity parties, but he even learned how to dance/give good face for her — and what she did this week was unforgivable.
In fact, both Matty and Jake (Brett Davern) have been exemplary human beings of late, and neither of their girlfriends seem to appreciate them. To take a page from their fellow MTV star Tionna T. Smalls, these girls need to get their minds right!
Ricky’s Death Revisited
The ‘who killed Ricky Schwartz?’ storyline briefly resurfaced this week when a guilty, and super-drunk, Lyssa (Greer Grammer) confessed to killing him. Sort of. It turns out she too fell victim to Ricky’s undeniable sexual magnetism and when she did, she still had peanut residue on her lips!
In a rare moment of humanity, Sadie reminded her that she’s not a murderer — she’s just a drunk moron. To be fair, it’s entirely possible that Lyssa did inadvertently give Ricky the kiss of death, but it was still nice to see Sadie bonding with her best frenemy again.
Rise Of The Ming Dynasty
Let it be known that Ming (Jessica Lu) currently has one of the best story lines in Awkward history, and this week, it reached an entirely new level of awesome.
Now that she’s fully embraced her position as head of the Asian Mafia — what I wouldn’t give for that golden cell phone and key — she’s unstoppable. I mean, this week alone, she got Tamara a bouncy castle for her party. Her powers are basically limitless!
HollywoodLifers, are you as mad at Jenna as I am? Do you think she’ll come clean to Matty? Drop a comment with your reaction to the mid-season finale, and your predictions for the future!
