On May 23, Amanda Bynes, 27, was arrested for marijuana possession, reckless endangerment, and tampering with evidence for allegedly throwing a bong out the window of her NYC apartment. Former New York federal prosecutor Raoul Felder tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that throwing the drug paraphernalia is the most serious of Amanda’s offenses, and she could end up behind bars because of her actions.
“The real offense is throwing the bong, not smoking the weed,” Raoul explains. “She could have killed someone, but she won’t go to prison for this. She will get committed to a program just like Lindsay Lohan, and if she won’t go then they can send her to prison.”
Raoul explains that for Amanda to be committed to a psychiatric hospital, “She has to be determined a danger to herself or to others. That is hard. It’s more for people who have attempted suicide. Right now she can only be held for 24 hours, then she would have to be certified [as mentally unstable.] I don’t think that will happen.”
Recently, Amanda has been sporting super-long blonde locks. After her arrest, the actress revealed she’s actually been wearing a wig when she was forced to take the wig off for her mugshot. In the mugshot, Amanda’s hair is only about an inch long — she’s practically bald. What do you think about Amanda’s super-short, cropped ‘do?
