That beautiful scene of Kris Humphries throwing down rose petals, lighting candles, and dropping to one knee to propose to Kim Kardashian may have been a little doctored. And that’s just the beginning. It’s up to you to decide whether that’s surprising or not.
In a 165-page deposition obtained by Life & Style, Keeping Up With the Kardashians producer, Russell Jay reveals that multiple scenes from the show were “scripted, reshot or edited” to make Kim’s ex Kris look like a villain, including the momentous proposal scene!
Russell admitted that Kim knew about Kris’ surprise proposal and that she even requested to have it reshot because she wasn’t happy with her reaction. “She didn’t like how her face looked,” Life & Style reports.
The deposition also includes evidence of the Kardashians constructing the divorce narrative. Russell also confirmed that the scene on the show where Kim confesses to momager Kris Jenner that she’s having second thoughts about her marriage was actually shot AFTER Kim had already filed for divorce.
You may also remember the episode where Kris and Scott Disick throw a party in Kim’s hotel, causing her to freak out on Kris and question their relationship. Well, according to Russell, Kim knew about the party the whole time — in fact, she was actually there!
The production revelations seem to be a huge win for Kris, who is suing Kim, accusing her of setting him up and faking their marriage in the name of TV.
“Kris feels vindicated” about the revealing deposition, a friend told Life & Style. “It’s obvious they were trying to tarnish his reputation. This will prove how fake Kim and the show are.”
BUT, looking into the deposition deeper, it may sack Kris’ case once and for all. First of all, none of this erases the fact that he willingly proposed to Kim. He wasn’t tricked.
Secondly, Kris obviously knew about the proposal scene reshoot — he’s the one who had to get down on his knee and propose twice. That means that he was a part of the construction — he was in on everything.
This case is far from over — though Kim will be about 6 months pregnant, she is scheduled to appear in court on May 6 to defend himself.
