During the season two premiere of Mob Wives on Jan. 1, Renee Graziano went through a major body makeover surgery that almost left her dead on the operating table. While Renee had the surgery done in July, she tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that the pain is still unbearable six months later.
“I wake up every day in pain,” Renee confesses to us. “There was a lot of scar tissue that was left inside. It’s painful. It’s very uncomfortable.”
Renee knew she almost died that day after her stitches ripped open on her back. She was rushed to the ER and lost 6.3 pints of blood.
“I knew something was wrong,” she admits. “I felt my life slipping. I felt everything drain out of my body. I knew I was dying. Thank God from up above [that I didn’t].”
While Renee was in the hospital for 16 days fighting for her life, co-star Carla Facciolo never once reached out to her or visited her. This still upsets Renee to this day.
“I’ve always said that Carla is the ice princess,” Renee says. “Now, she went from being the ice princess to being a plain, cold block of ice. Carla is block of ice. As boring as it is to watch it melt is as boring as what it is to be in her company. I have nothing to say to that girl.”
Renee is also glad she didn’t invite Carla to her birthday party.
“It was a very good decision,” she says. “It was my party. I wanted to celebrate my life. I didn’t want anybody around me that gave me conflict.”
As for the battle about to ensue between Karen Gravano and Drita D’avanzo in the next episode, Renee tells us she had no idea what was about to happen.
“I was minding my own business,” she says. “I was having a good time laughing, dancing and singing at the party. I was unaware of what was going to happen. I would never put anybody in that position. As the story unfolds, you will understand who hits who. It’s just a crazy old bunch of girls.”
Renee does wish that Karen and Drita would get over their feud, though.
“It would be really nice to see them make up,” she says.
Most importantly, Renee wants her fans to be extremely careful when selecting a plastic surgeon.
“Research your plastic surgeon,” she advises. “I would do it again, but know who you are dealing with. You are making a life decision. ”
