During a tense marriage counseling session — and aren’t they all? — Tom (Doug Savant) told Lynette he hadn’t slept with any other women… yet. That one word instantly turned the episode into a made-for-TV movie called How Lynette Got Her Groove Back, which included a super-awkward trip to the bars with René (Vanessa Williams.) But just when Lynette was about to seal the deal with a fellow divorcée — welcome back to my TV, Richard Ruccolo — she got cold feet, thanks to her cold wedding ring.
Bree also spent the episode with a man — Ben (Charles Mesure) — though her story line wasn’t quite as sexy… or awkward. They volunteered at a soup kitchen, and after hearing Bree deliver a moving speech about charity and stuff, Ben enlisted her help to get a low-income housing facility built. But wait — guess where the facility is going to be built? I’ll give you a hint: It’s where the girls buried Gaby’s stepfather’s body. Oh, sorry, that was a pretty big hint.
Gaby, meanwhile, was up to her diamond earrings in annoying PTA moms. She wasn’t exactly proving herself to be a worthy president — not that she asked for the job — so the women staged a little silent protest. But when Gaby called Carlos for backup and he showed up drunk, the women took pity on Gaby.
The preview for next week’s episode shows the girls running through the woods — and discovering the body of Gaby’s stepfather is missing! Do you think they’ll ever get caught? And more importantly, do you think Gaby’s kids have ever watched Pretty Little Liars?
