Taylor Armstrong has not been shy when it comes to openly discussing her late husband, Russell Armstrong‘s heartbreaking abuse. But, in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, which will air next Tuesday, Taylor reveals that Russell would never hit her in front of their 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy. At least he had enough dignity to do that.
Taylor reassures her fans, friends and family that Kennedy never saw Russell hit her and that she’s (at least) grateful for that.
ET also revealed that Russell tried to change his will six weeks before his death, but never finished. Was he reevaluating Taylor’s part of his estate? We may never know.
Russell has two separate temporary restraining orders against him — one filed by his ex-wife Barbara and the other by an ex-girlfriend, before his marriage Taylor. He also pled guilty to battery in 1997.
But what’s most disturbing is that in 2004, Barbara says she got a call from Russell’s girlfriend Claudia Haro, informing her that she had witnessed Russell slapping their son Aiden, now 13, across the face. Court documents state: “This slap was so hard that Ms. Haro heard it across the room. Ms. Haro has seen and heard Russell slap Aiden’s face very hard on other occasions.” That’s terrible.
We feel for his family, who have been through a lot over the past few years.
Watch the ET interview with Taylor on Sep. 20.
