Serena Williams struggled through her start at Wimbledon, but at least her nails were on-point. The tennis star wears a purple and a silver sparkle on her very long nails.
Last year, Serena wore silver rhinestone-studded nail art with a red S monogrammed onto her pinky nail. It seems like color and length are taking precedent over bling this year!
Serena slipped and fell on the grass court during a game, but luckily didn’t break anything — including a nail!
“It’s definitely not cool on my nails if I fall because I can potentially break one and that makes me really upset,” says the tennis pro. “I have three weeks to get through without breaking a nail.”
That’s a lofty goal for those nails!
The specific shades Serena is wearing come from her OPI GLAM SLAM collection — Wimbledon. The set comes with either a purple base coat (Grape…Set…Match) or a silver (Your Royal Shine-Ness) and a sparkly top coat (Servin’ Up Sparkle) for that extra bit of pizazz. I absolutely adore the British and tennis-themed names!
There are two thing I’ll trust Serena on: Tennis and fabulous nails!
