Vienna says Jake tried to physically attack her, but he says she’s lying! We think they’re BOTH just in this for publicity!
The battle between The Bachelor‘s Jake Pavelka, 32, and ex-fiancée, Vienna Girardi, 24, is getting worse as wild allegations are flying from both sides. During the filming of ABC’s Bachelor Breakup Special on June 23, an audience member (who’s clearly on Team Vienna) claimed that Jake “literally jumped out of his chair, pulled back his fist and lunged at her,” a source told Star magazine. A Team Jake audience member denied it: “It did not happen. He was calm and collected,” they explained to Us Weekly. All he did was stand up and quietly ask to not be interrupted.
The filming of the ABC special was the first time that Vienna and Jake have come face to face since their breakup June 21 and clearly the sides are drawn.
Vienna and her supporters maintain that Vienna left Jake before he returned from Peachtree, Ga., where he had been filming his guest appearance on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva. She gave this as her reason for leaving him: “I literally have been living six months with this guy who won’t be intimate with me.” She says that Jake made excuses like he was doing a “religious fast.” Friends of Vienna also suggest that Jake does not “like women.”
But Jake and his team say he’s the one who ended the relationship. He reportedly called Vienna and dumped her over the phone when he found out she went to the tabloids with their personal story. Jake also maintains he had doubts about Vienna’s dedication to him and believed Vienna could have been cheating on him, specifically with actor Gregory Michael. Also, friends of Jake claim that he “isn’t gay,” according to RadarOnline.
Regardless of what really went down during the split, we agree with what Vienna told TMZ: “You know Jake’s going to do so much publicity this week. It’s going to be sick. People are going to be eating it up.” They sure are Vienna, but you have to admit — you’re getting as much publicity, if not MORE, than Jake.
And ABC certainly isn’t mourning the loss of the latest Bachelor relationship — they contrived the whole reunion! “Former The Bachelor participants Jake and Vienna taped an interview last night (Wednesday). As this was the first time the two had seen one another since their recent breakup, the atmosphere was emotionally charged,” ABC told HollywoodLife.com. “However, and contrary to reports that have surfaced about the interview, at no time was anyone ever physically in harm’s way, nor was anyone ever threatened with physical violence.”
Whether there was violence or not, ABC must be loving this whole situation! The more Jake and Vienna fight, the more press the network gets — and the higher the ratings will be!
